Reasons why your account can get locked
There are two ways that your Split Payments account can be locked
- Entering the wrong password three times
- Entering the wrong MFA code three times
What happens when your account gets locked
In the event that your account is locked, all API tokens associated with the account will be temporarily invalidated and the user will have no access to the account until it is unlocked.
How to unlock your account
When your account is locked, you will shortly receive an email from Split Payments that includes some instructions to follow to unlock it. Make sure to check your Junk folder for any emails from Split Payments as well. The email will contain a link - 'Unlock my account'. Your account will be un-locked by clicking on the link and you will be re-directed to the Split Payments login page.
In case you have forgotten your password, click on 'Forgot my password' found under the 'More' button on the Split Payments dashboard. Once you confirm your email address, you will receive an email shortly outlining the steps to change your password.
